There are always, always, always kittens and cats that need to be taken into foster care. From abandoned new-borns that may need bottle feeding, to injured or sick, to healthy and happy but not able to be returned to a colony - foster homes are like gold dust! Please consider fostering - it is extremely rewarding and you have all the benefits of owning a pet without the long term commitment - what could be better?

Join one of our feeding rotas - we feed some colonies near Larnaca town and we will also need people to feed at our small sanctuary in one of the villages in the Larnaca district.

We just ask you to commit to one day a week to feed and put fresh water for one of the colonies - it need only take an hour or so.

Volunteers with computer, social media, photography, graphic design skills and know-how are always welcomed with open paws! We have the website to maintain, our social media presence (mostly Facebook - but would be great to have Instagram, twitter etc too), quality photography and videography, accounting and book keeping... the opportunities are endless ;-)

Friends of Larnaca Cats is almost totally reliant on donations and sponsorship in order to run. Please consider putting on a fundraiser for us - right now we need funds to finish off the Sanctuary. We also have a backlog of vet bills that need to be paid off as soon as possible. It doesn't matter where you are located... everyone can help with this one!

Every month we like to do a more in depth clean at the feeding areas and at the sanctuary (once it opens). A group of volunteers gets together with mops, buckets, brooms and bleach - it's fun... yes, really!! It is important to keep the areas as clean as we can to try to keep the colonies as healthy as possible. And, there will always be handyman type jobs to be done at the sanctuary. Currently we need volunteers to get the sanctuary up and running and fit for feline furriness :-) Please get in touch if you want to help.

If you have transport we often need cats or kittens to be taken for treatment or for spay/neuter. After treatment they need to be collected and returned. If you are flexible with time and live in the Larnaca area, please join our list of helpers to call when we need help transporting kittens and cats.
